Gyro Mate is an Android app that calculates the Sun azimuth based on the location and time of the observation. The app is developed with the use of an accurate nautical almanac and a detailed map to provide the most accurate calculation.
You can find out the azimuth and all the other required data to keep the Compass Observation Book in the right way.
Once you have calculated the Sun azimuth, entering the gyro bearing, heading, magnetic heading, and variation will produce the result summary with all the data required to keep the Compass Observation Book in the right way.
